Excitement was apparent on the first day of school at Babu Para village. 34 students have been admitted after a careful interview process seeking commitment both from the students and the parents. The student body is selected from the most marginalized children and families.
The fathers of these children are fishermen, small farmers, day laborers, and rickshaw puller.
