Hope Arises opens its first school in Napora village

Hope Arises Schools opens it first school at Napora village  on February 1st 2021. The excitement of the new students was thrilling to wittness. Some students had waited for years for the opportunity to attend school. Nomita Das, age 15, said her first dream is to learn to write her name in  the local Bangla and in English. Nomita is partialiy paralyzed and mute and has never been admitted to school until Hope Arises arrived in the Napora village. 

32 students were admitted after interviewing the parents to ensure commitment from the entire family. Interviews were conducted to seek out the most marginalized in the community. Female students will always account at least 50% of the student body.
